Basil Lopez, (Cover Design - Carl Bailey)

Synopsis: In Another's House is a play that was originally written to be set to dance. It covers a huge historical sweep dealing mostly with Jamaica as a colonised country and the effort we have made to emerge there from. The problem of colonisation is inherent in the title, but the play explores the irony of the house dwellers becoming a part of the house. It therefore deals with the psychosis that besets countries like Jamaica that attained independence only since 1962. The author hopes that a dance drama will emerge from this work since movement is such an essential form of expression for us.
